2007 Lexus RX350

Question: When brake rotors and pads need to be replaced.

Question

Visitor, Canton, NY, October 16, 2010, 20:33

I was told I needed to replace brake pads and rotors for both front and rear wheels. Mileage at time of repair was 39,000 miles. The total cost was $1,300. Is this reasonable in terms of replacement and cost. The repairs were done at a certified Lexus dealer.

Ask them how thick the rotors and the pads are in millimeter.
I strongly believe the rotors could be resurfaced. Get a second opinion from an independent shop with good reputation.
