my front end has a loud whining sound, similar to having large knobby tires on the front, mostly when making a right turn or just slightly turning the wheel to the right and becaomes much louder, does not sem to make much noise under 20 mph, could this be the wheel bearings ? are these changable or must i chg the complete hub? 2204 Ion quad 3 2.2 ltr

It sounds like you may have a wheel bearing that is failing. You say the noise is louder when truning right - that would make me suspect the left bearing. When turning right you are putting more load on the left bearing - therefore more noise. The front bearing on your Saturn are part of the hub assembly.
