Question: WHATS INVOLVED WITH THE HEAT SHIELD

WHAT OTHER DISCRIPTIONS ARE USED TO DETERMINE THE CAR WOULD NEED A HEAT SHIELD. HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST. PLEASE ADVSIE ANYTHING ELSE I WOULD NEED TO KNOW .

    If the heatshield's missing, it needs one installed to prevent getting the floorpan hot and melting or setting fire to the undercoating or carpet liner if it's between the exhaust and the floorpan, and to prevent grass fire if it's under the exhaust. I have no idea what it'll cost, the heatshield is probably not expensive but it may cost you if the exhaust needs to be removed to install it.
