whats going on with my clutch? on 1998 Mazda 626

when i press my clutch to shift gears it pretty much hits the floor board...theres plenty of fluid in it...whats wrong with it? and how can i fix it? thanks

It could be a hydraulic failure of your Clutch Master Cylinder or Slave Cylinder. Try pressing down the pedal and having some one look at the arm that pushes in the clutch ( on the transmission ) and see if it is moving. If it is moving, it could be that your pressure plate has collapsed. If the arm is not moving, then your Clutch hydraulics need replacement. Good Luck!
