check the fuel pressure. it may be good enough to start and the pump seizes when it gets warm

Thanks but there is plenty of pressure on the fuel rail. But, when truck is put in drive, it wants to spit and sputter and runs rough. I am thinking I need a good fuel additive jet cleaner and, possibly a fuel filter.

could be an injector issue but fuel pressure is critical. thats why the number is so important.

Mine would only stay running if you kept the RPMs higher than 3000. I replaced the IAC (Ignition Air Control Valve) and it's been running great since. The part is hard to get to, but fixed the problem for only $60.
