1997 Ford Contour Question: whats causes the not to run after changing the starter

we change the starter the car still wont start call autozone and they stated that theres a switch in the truck can someone tell me where is the switch?

    if hes talking about the emergency fuel switch its most likely in the trunk drivers side under the side panel.check your owners manual.im not sure what the starter has to do with it?
