Question: what would cause rpms to jump and car to die?

replaed engine a year ago, then distributor cap roater and spark plugs, wires sensors cam and crank air fuel pump and harnest

    It's hard to guess without being able to drive the Blazer and experience the problem first hand or at least do some basic diagnostic tests.You need so some how determine if the problem is a loss of fuel, spark or some sort of electrical issue. Your car has on board diagnostic level 2 A professional grade scan tool allows key engine sensor data to be analyzed right off the scan tool without having to do intrusive testing at each sensor. Does this happen often enough that you could duplicate the problem to a mechanic? I would not rule out it being a computer problem if everything else checks out.
