I currently have 238,000+ miles on the car and the transmission just started slipping when cold going into lower gears. Once in overdrive it is fine and when warmed up it changes gears easier with less jerking. Could this be repaired w/o a new transmission?

On either the 4 or 6 cylinder the labor to remove, replace and flush oil cooler lines is about 8 hours.A rebuilt transmission is about $2500 but compare warranty..

could be rebuilt by a trans shop. could be anywhere from 1500-1800 depending on hard parts needed.
a rebuilt would be around 3000-3500 but would have a 3 yr 50k warranty instead of 6 months 6k
