Question: what will cause a high pitched noise when applying the brakes squeel bar

i cleaned the pads,rotors, caliper etc. is it the brakes making the noise?

    There is what are called wear indicators on the brake pads. When the pads get thin this indicates to the driver that the brakes need replacing. If you checked the brake pads and they are ok you probably have a ridge on the the rotors causing noise when pads contact rotors.

    thanks bro....there IS a ridge on the (original...lol) rotors, its even indented into the pads...also it only happens when you touch the brake pedal
