2003 Kia Sorento Question: what way do you take crankpulley off

left or right keep pulley from moving

    the bolt is standard thread, right hand. remove going counter clockwise. it is very tight and must be re tightened to the same.

    i suggest an air operated gun as the torque is about 180+ lbs.

    Can you gain access to the flywheel teeth to stick a large screw driver in the teeth to stop it from moving as you try to undo the bolt (will take two people).Also put transmission in Park or 1rst gear and apply hand brake to "load" the drive train. Kia as a car manufacturer put a lot of great technical information and work shop manuals on line for free for Kia owners. www.kiatechinfo.com
    Once bolt is off you may need a threaded harmonic balancer removal tool cheap from Harbor Freight or other on line tool store.
