2005 Jaguar S-Type Question: what type of castrol should I used for my S-type Jaguar?

Our four year maintenance for our Jaguar has expired. We were unable to find any information on the handbook. Thank you.

    I would look in your owners manual. It should be there, the Oil Weight and Type, which is most likely a full Synthetic but check your manual to be sure.

    I just bought the car at an auction. It did not come with an owners manual, otherwise that's where I would have looked.

    You should use Castrol Edge 5w-30. Depending upon your mileage, you can also use a 10w-30 for a higher mileage car (over 85k) to get a smoother sounding engine.
