I didnt really think it would actually be a cable. I found this pic that should give you a good idea of how it is in the car. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.not2fast.com/vw/stuff/02a_clutch.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.not2fast.com/vw/&usg=__N34MNunVkfmQtDiaJWwTdQz6NxQ=&h=648&w=801&sz=38&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=fFvQA3OYlZlLWM:&tbnh=139&tbnw=172&ei=DtobTonNNq7gsQLzv729CA&prev=/search%3Fq%3D1994%2Bvw%2Bjetta%2Bclutch%2Bcable%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D685%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=322&vpy=202&dur=680&hovh=171&hovw=211&tx=155&ty=104&page=1&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&biw=1280&bih=685 You shouldnt need major tools. A phillips screw driver and pliers mostly. Remember to pay attention to how it comes out so you can get it back together right.
