2005 BMW 525i Question: What should I do?
I suspect water has entered a control module or fuse box. It may dry out naturally even with just the heat of the engine compartment. Remove the fuse box covers and see if you see water or condensation, WD40 is a moisture dispersant, there is also a product made by CRC that is used to clean Mass Air Flow Sensors, it leaves no residue, is non flammable and is formulated to clean electrical connectors and electronic components. - patrick mannion
