Car has 240k miles and has fouled a new catalytic converter, sometimes gives a blue smoke on start-up.

    Sounds like the lower end went out. Worn out piston rings, blue smoke is burning oil. It burnt out the catalytic converter. You can rebuild lower end because you already rebulit the top end. Sometimes rebuliding the top end doesn't fix the problem. If you need additional information, please contact our shop at 702-384-7636. Thank you!
