Question: What service is needed after more than 100,000 miles?

PPM, 4.6L V8, Thousand Oaks, CA, April 12, 2009, 14:23
 Rookie

Bought truck with 95,000 miles. It's been great. Now have 117,000 miles and will be driving it 2,500 miles, mostly in dry warm weather. What service should I have performed besides usual oil, etc? I plan to take extra belts. I want to avoid breaking down in the middle of no where.

    Have a skilled mechanic go over your vehicle and check to see what it needs and by all means don't go to a dealer. There are some very good shops where you are that can ascertain what your truck is due for in the way of maitenance.
