If the brake pedal is going lower than normal, then you may have a failing master cylinder. Get this addressed before you have brake failure!

I had the same issue and had my master cylinder replace 2x. The 1st time was in Feb 2010. The 2nd time was in March 2010, the cylinder was replaced under warranty. The issue just came back (Jan 2011). Is it possible the issue is something else?

If the rear brakes are drum brakes they may not be "self adjusting" properly and need to be adjusted. With the engine idling vehicle stationary pull up the hand brake half way up and apply the brakes does the pedal feel firmer? If so (if the car has drum brakes) have the rear brakes adjusted.
Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.
