Ouch! How many cats are on this car? more than one I fear. Looks like the front one is part of the exh. manifold. What would happen If I ran a couple gallons of paint thinner through the thing.

what do you think of this repair? I think it's kind of scary, I'm retired now, an ASE tech. myself, for about 30 years. Now I repair Porsche electrical problems, in my own shop for a lucrative hobby. (one or two a year, pays for my toys anyway) Things change very fast in this business. We are also talking about a $500 car. straight forward repair. the bolts may be tight from the age but nothing out of the ordinary. the precious metals are all gone in the cat and thats the reason for the code.
