Question: What is the problem when the key will not turn because the steering when is locked?

If the steering wheel is not precisely in a straight driection, the key will not turn to start the engine. Once when the steering wheel was in the correct position, the key would not turn to start the engine. Also, is the covered by warrenty. The car has almost 75,000 miles.

    If it unlocks while you slightly turn the steering wheel to the left and right, it's a normal condition.

    TRY MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH WHILE TURNING THE KEY. THERE MAY BE WEAR IN THE STEERING LOCK PARTS CAUSING IT TO STICK. YOUR CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY- SORRY. GREG
