what is the difference between a drive belt and timing belt on 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier

timing belt connects the cam to the crank. the drive belt runs ac, alt, water pump and power steering. by the way, the 3.1 has a chain. Roy

drive belt runs alt water pump, powersterring ,a/c. that car has a timing chain in it you dont have to change it unti motor will have to be rebuild or tining chain breaks but if it breaks i will bend valves. ck compression ck fireing at sparkplugs
