Question: what is the cost for having the oil pan clean due to sludge ?

I also priced a new oil which is less than $200 would it be better to purchase a new or have the existing on cleaned

    The oil pan csn be cleaned. As to the price it varies depending on the engine size.

    it is a 2.7 I was quoted over$500 from one shop but that seemed really unreasonale

    The cost to have the oil pan removed, cleaned, reinstalled with a new gasket, oil & filter parts and labor is $ 367.00
