DOOR WILL NOT STAY OPEN METAL PIECE FELL OFF BETWEEN DOOR AND BODY OF CAR LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE TO TAKE OF SHELL OF DOOR TO REPLACE ONLY METAL BAR MISSING THOUGH

    The door panel has to come off to get access to the door limiter. You can buy the limiter at a BMW dealership.
