Question: what happens if I don't replace the strutts

Question

I was told that I need new strutts and I was wondering if I can stand the noise, will it hurt anything if I don't get them replaced.

No. It is always recomended to replace your struts every 50k miles or as needed but it is NOT required. It goes without saying that your ride quality will continue to degrade but is not essential until the strut mounts degrade too much.
