1998 Volkswagen Cabrio Question: What else could be wrong?



smcall, 2.0L 4 Cylinder, Spring Valley, IL, June 26, 2014, 23:04

changed spark plugs. Then got distributor cap. Car running rough hard to keep running. Engine light on and off. Changed air flow sensor and still running rough. Diagnostic at autozone pointed to air sensor. What else could be causing bad airflow

    Vacuum line break. One of the air intake lines may have cracked, came off or has a hole in it. Usual culprit is the PCV hose. Start vehicle and spray carb cleaner on the intake hoses. If the engine starts surging, you have found the faulty hose. Best I can come up with the info. given.
