Question: What does trouble code P0340 most often indicate on a 2000 LHS 3.5 ltr?

My car died at freeway speed and will not restart.

    There are several possibilities but when you try to restart does it turn over or not because this could rule out some things-please advise

    p0340 is a bad cam sen. code... Had a friends show this today(3/24/10) got new unit and compared and yep old 1 was bad. installed new 1 and car wouldnt start... her car died on the road also. So i poped open the timing belt cover and bingo busted belt... the repair just got costly.... people need to do there P.M.
