I was told that the front axle shaft needs to be replaced. The car does not click or have a steering problem. The wheel bearings were replace earlier with also ball joints. The car is still making a roaring noise at a high speed over 40 on the same area. What do you think is the problem...tire noise? firstname.lastname@example.org

2002 Honda Accord Question: what does the wheel bearings have to do with front axle?

Rotate the front tires to the back and see if the noise will follow.
Drive the car above 40 mph and move the steering left - right and see if the noise will change.
Is the noise comes only from one side? I'd raise the car and drive it on the lift while listen to the source of the noise with a stethoscope.
