P0727 Engine Speed Signal Circuit Low Input - With Automatic Transmission Possible Causes... Engine speed signal circuit is open (PCM to the TCM) Engine speed signal circuit shorted to ground (PCM to TCM) TCM or PCM has failed Setting Conditions... Engine running; throttle angle from 5-94%, gear selector not indicating Park or Neutral position, and the TCM detected the Engine Speed signal indicated less than 96 rpm. This code sets in 2 Trip(s). This code will turn on the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) Take it to a shop with proper testing equipment and get it diagnosed. Could be a couple of different sensor giving a false signal causing this problem.
