 Rookie

I wanna be ready when i take to someone to get this fixed...So can anyone tell me what could be happening? and what would cause my car to be actin up ..this is the 1st time my car has ever broke down...check out Engine Light and somethings wrong

  Hi, this is a good approach, it's smart to be informed before taking your car to the shop.
  I'll need a little more info from you, what I see so far is your Check Engine Light is on? Is the operation of the vehicle affected? If so, how?
