What could i do to fix this problem? on 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis

The car shut it self down when ever i tried given it gas.So i charged the battery at the local auto zone and that was'nt the problem.So i asked around and i was told an oil leak had caused my starter to stop working.

It doesnt blow smoke till its ran for awhile. It uses oil but no leaks. HELP!!!!
