When I try to start it back up the motor turns over real fast and won't start til the third or fourth time I try it

Check your fuel filter, and/or fuel pressure.

these trucks are also known for failed crankshaft pulleys/harmonic balancer,they come apart and will rub on the crank sensor and cause the vehicle to stall.
