Last night I didnt think my car was idling correctly. It was acting almost like it was misfiring but once you gave it more gas and got going it was fine. This morning I went out to start it and it sputters and dies and giving it more gas does not get it going at all.

Many things can cause this. The best and easiest starting point is a good visual inspection for anything obvious like split/collapsed pcv hose or vacuum hoses, remove air filter and look inside the mass air flow sensor for foreign objects like dead bugs, leaves, etc. and get a fuel sample. And of course retrieve dtcs if any.

Thanks, come to find out after the dealership removed and tested the fuel that the station I filled up at last had a contractor repair a line with a wrong clamp allowing for diesel to leak in with the unleaded. My engine has been pumped and refilled with fresh gasoline twice today and smoked for the first 30 miles the tech drove it for and is now running ok but they fear that the catalytic converter may have been effected as well. The company has admitted error and I am asking for replacement of fuel line and engine as it only has 33,000 miles on it.
