2004 Mercedes-Benz E500 Question: What could be wrong with my GPS Device?

The display on my device reads Device is Unavailable.

    There are a number of things from problem with the disc or the NAV hardware, there are a number of known problems which the manufacture has released TSBs for, I would start by checking with the common known problems before check for the not so common problems. Here is a list that you can start with that may help, Jim
