Question: What causes the key to get stuck in the ignition?

 Rookie

I can turn it on and drive it, just can't remove it. Tried park, neutral, the wheel, the brake etc. The diagnostic doesn't recognize the problem.

    There is a device in the key hole that's called the tumbler and it may be stuck and not want to release the key. There should be a pin hole under the steering housing that is used to take the whole key ignition out with the key sill inserted in the ignition. May need to use a paper clip to push the button under steering housing to release the key and cylinder.
