What causes my car to resist shifting out of park when parked on an incline? on 2011 Chevrolet Impala

This problem occurs when the vehicle is parked on any incline, even slight incline.

It's the weight of the vehicle resting against the parking paw in the transmission. Try parking the car and setting the emergency brake before releasing brake pedal and see the difference.
