Question: What cause my car to idle rough?

The check engine light came on. We saw the oil pan was leaking . We replaced the gasket and the plugs because the needed changing. The check engine light went off. It idles rough and goes dead if you do not mash the gas pedal.also the pull handle of the oil dipstick keeps braking.

    i had a similar problem and it turned out to be a vacuum leak...check top 90* hose and one underneath air filter system.
