1995 Ford Thunderbird Question: What can the rattling under the hood be?

There is a rattling under the hood when I am stopped in drive with my foot on the brake. It does it everytime I'm at a light

    It could be many things, unfortunately and without hearing the noise first hand or being able to do some basic diagnostic tests or be able to drive the car, its hard to say what the source of the noise may be.It could be a cracked exhaust heat shield, it could be an engine mount or engine stabilizer, a radiator support or hood support rod, turn of the air conditioning so that the air conditioning compressor and clutch are eliminated,anything that seems abnormal is abnormal and needs to be investigated in case it may soon result in a serious problem.
