Question: What can I put in the Telaid armrest cell phones place?

I was not told when I bought this car from carmax that the telaid system was useless because the FCC in 2002 from analog to digital, etc. No I have this cell phone in the armrest that is just a paper weight, but it does have a cord going somewhere. My question is what else can I plug in here to make it useful again? Thank you in advance.

    You can have your teleaid/hands free system upgraded to digital by any Mercedes-Benz dealership. I am not sure of the cost, but it only involves changing the teleaid module and reprograming the a few of the modules in the vehicle.

    Thanks JParsons. I checked all of that out and they want over 1500 to do this. I will just get a bloothooth/cell phone; about $1100 cheaper. Thanks
