Question: What brand Synthetic engine oil would be best to use?

I am thinking on putting synthetic engine oil in my car on its first oil change. I would like to know if it really is better than regular oil and which brand would be the best to use.

    I have always heard that the top-recommended full synthetic is Mobile 1. It's the name I encounter the most, and I have no reservations in recommending it at all.

    Synthetic has many advantages over regular oil, in addition to having longer change intervals.

    Thanks for your quick response. I have heard of Mobile 1 but there are so many to choose from. Amsoil, Castrol, etc.
