Question: what are other possible causes for speedo not to function?

I swithced out the speed sensor and I check the connnector to verify wires are live. signal is getting lost in the dash or under the hood. CEL gives code for bad speed sensor but that is not the problem. thanks

     Master

    PCM or wire/connector fault between PCM/guage/sensor. Live data rather than just a 'code reader' may be more helpful.
