Brought our truck in for a oil/filter change, tire rotation and check of the overdrive. All services were performed in a timely manner. Everything checked out fine and I was informed that the brakes would need service in the near future, but was happy there was no big sales pitch or pressure to have it done then and there. The counter guy was extremely helpful and shuttle service back home was offered if I chose not to wait on premises.

Customer service was extremely satisfactory, the shop had not only diagnosed my car's problems correctly whereas other repair shops were without clues, they also pointed out other problems that my car has. West El Cajon Auto did not try to push me to have those additional problems fixed at their shop. They advised what should get repaired as soon as I can. I left them my car for a couple of days for the repairs and was very happy with the repairs after I took it home. The technicians and the shop manager were very professional, knowledgeable and personable. West El Cajon Automotive and Transmission will be my number 1 go to shop from now on.
They are really nice there, but I took my car there twice spent about 1,800.00, not including car rental. Both times I told them there is a whining noise in the front right of my engine. It continues after I turn it off. Last time I picked it up it was still there, when I pulled into the garage it was loud. I did need tires and brake pads and they fixed it so my check engine light went off the first time. I am not spending any more time off work, money on car rental and more money on this 2003 ford escape.

Had a problem after service was done and they took care of it immediately for no extra charge.
They performed the maintenance as requested. They also provided feedback on repairs recommended by the dealer repair shop, which West El Cajon Automotive found were not needed. The dealer had been telling me that I needed shock and struts each time I went in for oil change.
Considering another shop advised my car needs a new engine ($4,000.00) and Bill at West El Cajon found the issue was merely a partially blocked radiator ($400), yes, these guys are good.
They are helpful and make sure you understand what they are going to fix on your car.

My transmission was slipping and you checked it out for free, and it wasn't my transmission, it turned out to be something else and costs far less to repair!
