The oil filter is located in the front/right on top of the motor, under the plastic engine cover. The oil filter is a canister style filter and requires a special socket to loosen and tighten. In addition, I recommend having a professional change the oil because most most Mercedes-Benz vehicles do not have a dipstick to check the oil level. A scan tool is needed to read the oil level in the engine control module to insure proper oil level.
