2005 Ford Taurus

Question: we were riding along when car just revs up like no transmisson.

had to roll to a stop no od. no drive. no reverse. no signs of any kind no leaks of any kind most be some kind of senser or something.

    internal failure of the pump or converter. it must be removed and most likely rebuilt

    i doubt it as the frame section has to be dropped to get the trans out. very labor intensive job. pays 8-10 hours in labor for a shop with a lift and the support devices needed to support the engine.
