we have changed the radiator and thermostat in this CRV and we still over heat- on 1998 Honda CR-V

Fan don't come on could it be the thermo sending unit at the thermostat housing that needs to be replaced? lost as to why the fans won't come on or why it keeps over heating? have not checked the fuses could it be that simple?

still overheats?? how long have you driven with it overheating??? the rad or thermostat may have been your problem then but you may have damaged the head gasket from the overheating. get it checked at a shop for a leak down test to verify. no, no fuses, maybe for the fans but if the fuse blew, most likely the fans are bad from drawing too much current Roy

thank you Roy- checked fuses look ok- checked fluid level again- low- after being topped off the other day- no anti freeze in oil that I could tell -car starts right up- can I loose fluid from what you said and not show up in oil? Can we loose anti freeze while driving and not notice- Lost for answers ready to shot car and get it over with but CRV has rebuilt engine and tran and need car for transport-Thanks again
