2004 Dodge Stratus Question: water pump, timing chain and tentioner replaced
Answer #1torque wrench from Stewart's Auto Repair LLC, January 23, 2011, 08:36Master
No, the noise won't go away if a few days. There is a special way to load (pump up)
the hyd. tensioner on these engines, if it wasn't done right it won't pump up. This leaves a ratteling noise were the chain guide slaps against the tensioner. He will need to go back inside the engine and load the tensioner to repair.
