Question: water pump leaking.

 Rookie

have read on a lexus forum where several people have had there water pumps replaced under warranty due to leaking. replacing with a redesigned pump. any documented info? thanks.

    if your car is under the factory 4 year/50,000 mile warranty, it is fully covered. out of warranty, they have no "legal" obligation but,if you purchased your car
    and did all the maintenance there, they may participate with some portion of assistance. you did not state if yours was 2.5 or 3.5 engine, neither have any recalls on
    water pump leaks.
