We have 1999 Dodge Durango 4x4 that we replaced the water pump in 4 times in less than a month. 1st Husband did it himself,, worked great. Drove it down the road, started leaking, Drove it to the Dodge dealership. The installed a new water pump, drove away, still leaked. Took it back to them put in ANOTHER new water pump...Starts leaking before we drive off the lot. HUbby takes a look at it and realizes its missing the GASKET. So we acquire a gasket and after much cussing, beating, knicks and scratches, the darn thing STILL does not have the gasket. In researching this situation. We furthur found out the dealership were unable to get the gasket on as well. My suggestions is to use the silicone putty stuff which will create that gasket and it will work, or go the old fashioned way and keep an eye on your water level and tempratures. In regards to the price, if you do it yourself its less than a hundred bucks. From the dealer about $400. Hope you get it fixed.
