If you just had the car serviced, you should take it back to the shop and see if anything needs to be adjusted or re tightened. It's good to explain that you only hear it when the engine is cold. They may need to hold onto for a bit to try and replicate the noise (ie let the engine cool down again). I assume it didn't make this noise before? Was the ticking the reason the timing chain was replaced?
