It is tight even when radiator is out but there are 4 8mm nuts one each corner (take them out and the fan will come away .But very importantly the large nut next is a left handed thread .Also there are three bolts on the pump take out the top and the one on the right hand side looking from the front of the car but only slacken the bottom one because you have to turn the whole pump to the left till it wont go anymore take out the retaining spring and pin for the drivebelt tensioner.put back on in reverse order.
I may have made a serious error, when removing my water pump I took off the bottom bolt completely and the tensioner spring fell to the ground. I didn't see how it it fit in? How can I reinstall the spring and pin
