dried out then drove & water again

    Do you mean water is in the combustion chamber if so the engine's cylinder head gasket is blown which should be accompanied by white smoke out the tail pipe and rough engine running, a simple chemical test known as a "block check" would indicate if that is true.
    Do you just have water down the spark plug tubes in the head, it may evaporate and got there by the plug seal not sealing properly.
