My steering has Always been Horrible since I got the car. I kept going back to where I bought it & they said nothing was wrong. If I'm at higher speeds & I brake my car Vibrates & Shimmies like crazy! It's NOT my Rotors & it's NOT my Brakes!

Thanks!

You would have to go to a dealer and have them check if your VIN number is involved, but the recall that exists is not for any issue like what you are describing. it was a recall to replace the lower rack bearing and cap. I think it is probably closed by now anyway since it came out a while ago. There have been issues with the upper strut mounts on those cars, and also you should check the sway bar bushings and tie rod ends. There was also a bulletin about the front rotors. When surfacing rotors during a brake job, you are supposed to remove them from the vehicle, clean the hub to rotor mounting surfaces, reinstall the rotor to the hub and surface them on the vehicle. Just a thought.

Thank You for your help & time!

I'll go2 a dealer & or shop & take my chances at getting it fixed I guess. But I'll probably get ripped off as usual bcuz I take everyone at face value. Very RARE to find an honest mechanic or any type of service person who's honest!!!

That's harsh. There are a lot of honest shops and mechanics out there. Get references from people you know, do research on the web. And remember, it is OK to ask questions and have them explain the why and how of the suggested repairs. It's your right to know. So ask.

Harsh but true! I went to Budget Muffler for a Pipe Only on a Bronco2 & was charged just shy of $500. I later was with my brother at his mechanic/friend & when he heard wut I paid for just a tail pipe he said he could've got me a Muffler & Tail pipe for even Less than wut I paid for the pipe only. Then the same happened with a Radiator. The Rad place told me I'd be looking at $700. Thank God I didn't do it bcuz this friend of my brother did the Rad for half the price. Unfortunately he's retired now & my brother duznt live here any longer!

But Thanks hey! Hava great weekend! I'll let U know wut I decide to do.

    Bye for now,
    Kaycee :)
