VW Vacuum valve replacement on 2003 Volkswagen Passat

How much should it cost to replace a vacuum valve?

A quick online search shows $10-15 for the part, or about $30 from the dealer. It's got a rubber hose slipped onto each end. If it's like my beetle there are no clamps. It will take longer to wash your hands afterwards than it takes to replace the valve. So DIY for $15. I wouldn't pay more than $40 total for a mechanic to do it, parts included.
